ASSIST
2K comes with everything you
expect from a good accounting and operations software package. Here are
some of the great system-wide features in the newest release:
- Source code: Control the future of your software by owning the source code.
Have your product customized by RLA, by yourself or by any other third party. Don't conform your business to the
software, conform the software to your business.
- ASSIST2K implements a data history structure that allows you to keep multiple
periods open while still processing current business. Reports can be run for a
prior month while the current month activity goes forward. There are no necessary
month-end or year-end updates.
Graphing:
You can see your sales history in a bar, line or pie chart. Graphically compare multiple years of revenue side by side.
You can do this by item, by customer, by salesperson and so on.
Document / Image
Archiving: Link JPG, PDF, Word, Excel files and web links to records within
ASSIST2K. Use it to store pictures of your items, certificate of conformance documents,
testing documents or signed delivery documents. These can then be called up within
your browser. No more leaving your desk to go to the filing cabinet.
Vessel Tracking: Track your incoming
POs on the water, anticipated delivery dates, vessel names etc.
PO Containerization: Receive multiple
PO and multiple PO lines in the same container, amortize the freight over
the contents of the container.
Multiple unit of measure quantity displays:
Allows the system to display warehouse inventory quantities by case / carton
or by each. Allows you to toggle between display in 1) case & fraction of
case, 2) case / eaches or 3) eaches (current type of display).
System Alerts:
Ultra-backoffice communications. This feature allows ASSIST2K
to notify users / customers / vendors when certain inter-application events occur.
Such as if a sales order does not ship then notify the salesperson, changing the
production order will notify the purchasing agent and so forth. Clients are already
dreaming of the system automatically e-mailing or faxing their clients with overdue
invoice notices.
Windowing Capability:
"Command" feature allows you to interrupt whatever you are doing and open a temporary
window to check stock, run a report, enter an order, or do virtually anything
you need to do. Hot keys allow you to jump right to the Item and Customer researches.
On-line Help Text:
We provide field-by-field Help Text that you can pop up when you need some more
information on an entry screen. This documentation is user-maintainable and can
reflect your special instructions and procedures.
Universal Searches:
All master codes and document numbers (e.g. Purchase Orders) are searchable in
multiple ways.
Job Streaming:
You can set up a series of reports and updates to automatically run unattended.
Save the report definitions and have the reports waiting for you when you come
in.
Report Generation:
Reports allow control over sort order, multiple range selections, aging columns,
timeframes, paging and sub-totaling. Save your report definition and have the
report come up that way each time you run it.
Copy Features:
Master file and transaction files have extensive "copy-from" features,
saving you entry time. For instance, you can create a credit memo by copying from
an invoice or create blanket orders to multiple ship to addresses.
Maintainable Default
Settings: Master file and transaction files have maintainable defaults
for entry fields. Preferences on report formats and selection options can also
be saved for easy re-use.
Unlimited Remarks
Text: Virtually unlimited free-form public and private text space is provided
on master files, and transaction header and lines files.
Data Exporting:
You can move data into a Windows application like Microsoft Excel or other ODBC
/ SQL compliant applications.

Portability: ASSIST2K
runs on many platforms, including Red Hat Linux, Suse Linux, Unix, SCO OpenServer, SCO Unixware, HP-UX,
AIX, Sun-OS, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Vista and Windows 2008. This means
you are not locked in to any particular hardware or operating system or, if you
choose Linux, forced to pay for operating system user licenes (it's basically
free open source).
Scalability: ASSIST2K
easily accommodates 5 users or 500 users. And per-user pricing means that you
only pay for what you need, when you need it.
Flexibility: ASSIST2K
provides you with the means to implement your most demanding business rules, whether
it's a complicated pricing structure or a stringent reporting requirement. We
deliver both a graphical user interface (GUI) and a character user interface (CHUI).
