For an Assist/E-Syst 2K20 features list, see  Assist/E-Syst 2K20: New Features

System

  • Assist/E-Syst now runs on OpenJDK, the free, open source version of Java. It is the default Java for Assist/E-Syst on all new instalations and upgrades. OpenJDK is an alternative to Oracle's Java, which is now commercially licensed. Oracle is quite likely going to require you to pay them to use their Java in the future. OpenJDK will allow you to avoid those fees.
