System Alerts is one of the latest features included in the ASSIST 2K8 package, and is now ready for delivery. This feature allows you to define who is alerted, when certain events happen, within the normal course of doing business. These event notifications are delivered to the recipient via ASSIST 2K8 private e-mail, your network e-mail or via a fax. These business alerts can be delivered to any ASSIST 2K8 user, customer, vendor or whom ever you indicate.

The first thing you need to do is to define what will generate the alert.

The next thing is, who will get the alert and how will it be delivered to them.

Once the alert has been triggered, it is delivered to the recipient. Below is an example of the ASSIST 2K8 private e-mail business alert. Someone changing the customer master record generated this alert.

Currently alerts are generated when you change the Item Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master, Salesperson Master, Bill Of Material definitions and Production Orders. They are also generated for overdue sales orders and overdue purchase orders.
